HEAFACHE
Oh, the headache that plagues us all
It feels like our brains will hit a wall
Pain radiates from temple to temple
Making us wish we could simply be more nimble
We try to avoid triggers we know so well
Coffee, booze, and even sweet caramel
But sometimes, no matter what we do
A headache still comes and says, "Boo!"
Wereach for aspirin, Advil or Tylenol
But none of them seem to take control
Ice packs, compression, and a dark room
But still our headaches manage to loom
We pray for relief, we beg and we plead
But our heads just throb and continue to bleed
We wish for a simple and easy cure
But all we seem to get is misery for sure
So here we are with our aching heads
Trying to think beyond our racing sleds
Perhaps one day we'll find a trick
To rid ourselves of headaches that stick
Until then, we'll just have to cope
And pray to the gods of medicine and hope
That one day we'll look back and smile
At all our headaches and their little wiles.
We pray for relief, we beg and we plead
But our heads just throb and continue to bleed
We wish for a simple and easy cure
But all we seem to get is misery for sure
So here we are with our aching heads
Trying to think beyond our racing sleds
Perhaps one day we'll find a trick
To rid ourselves of headaches that stick
Until then, we'll just have to cope
And pray to the gods of medicine and hope
That one day we'll look back and smile
At all our headaches and their little wiles.
